Gabriel “Gabulin” Alther was born on October 26, 1989, in Bern, Switzerland. From a young age, he had a deep interest in art and spent years learning various crafts. However, he always had to earn his living through other jobs.

In the fall of 2021, after a workplace accident, he could no longer continue in his current job. This incident prompted him to turn his lifelong passion into a profession and pursue a career in art. Gabriel began creating black-and-white paintings, drawing inspiration from the city’s atmosphere—its streets and bridges, the people, and the hum of traffic. He is particularly captivated by the play of light, silhouettes at night, and scenes in the rain.

Starting in 2022, Gabriel’s work gained recognition through numerous successful exhibitions across Switzerland, allowing him to fully live off his art. Reflecting on his journey, he says, “It feels as though I’ve finally arrived at my true life. I enjoy my work every day and am deeply gratified by the joy my paintings bring to others.”
